Nettle creek is my wellness space in downtown Waterford. Located on the second floor of the historic Corner Store building, this magic space is a sanctuary for all things nourishing and beautiful. 

Water is everything. The Catoctin Creek runs through this land like veins covering the body- connecting towns and farms and homes. The flow of water is the flow of vital life force, the embodiment of “qi.”

Nettles grow nestled in the woods by unassuming bodies of water. Every year their appearance ushers in the first breaths of spring. I love that when we extoll their healing properties, there is a word of warning in the same breath- that these plants command such awe and respect.

The words Nettle Creek symbolize some of the healing magic I appreciate here in this beautiful land where I’m so privileged to work.
