Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote natural healing and alleviate pain.
Acupuncture can address a wide range of conditions, including pain management, stress, anxiety, depression, fertility issues, and digestive disorders. It's also used for general wellness and preventative care.
Yes, when performed by a qualified and licensed acupuncturist, acupuncture is safe. The needles used are sterile, and practitioners adhere to strict hygiene standards.
Acupuncture is typically painless. Most people experience a slight tingling or minimal discomfort when the needles are inserted, but it's generally well-tolerated and considered relatively pain-free.
The number of sessions required varies depending on the condition being treated. Acupuncturists will typically recommend an initial treatment plan, often consisting of several sessions, and then assess progress to determine ongoing needs.
Often yes. I am in network with Anthem BCBS, Aetna, and United Health Care and covered by many plans. Contact your insurance company or the front desk at Ashburn Natural Wellness for more information
Sessions typically begin with a consultation where you discuss your health concerns. Then, you'll lie down comfortably, and the acupuncturist will insert the needles. You'll relax for about 20-30 minutes while the needles work. Appointments can also include cupping, e-stim, or gua sha depending on the needs of the client.
Initial appointments are $150, follow ups are $90. I also offer a package for 6 appointments for $450 (buy 5, get one free). For more information about financing options contact Ashburn Natural Wellness
